Rev. Erica Nash
Rev. Erica Nash is an ordained Minister who serves her community in all Ministry duties and is accustomed to providing Interfaith, Non-Denominational services to all couples throughout Central Florida.
Rev. Erica was ordained in full Ministry capacity in 2003 and furthered her studies in seminary to become a Chaplain in 2008. In 2009, after ten years of dedicated service with many churches and local organizations, Rev. Erica received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity. She now is advancing herself further by working with several non-profit organizations and is a full time Associate Minister & Pastor with My Heart Is Yours Ministry.
Rev. Erica currently resides with her Prince Charming, their two adorable girls and three fur babies in Palm Bay, Florida.
Below are a few questions that I've been asked along my journey as your Celebrant. Hopefully these will answer questions you may have. What kind of religious belief(s) do you practice?
While I was ordained by a Non-Denominational Interfaith Minister, my beliefs are mainly Pagan/Christian Eclectic. Like a good recipe, I blend a little of this with a little of that and that is what makes me unique, fun and one of a kind!
Will you marry us even if we are not of your faith?
Of course! It is not my place to judge anyone based on their religious beliefs. That is one of the reasons I am proud to be a part of My Heart Is Yours Ministry. We accept and welcome everyone! This is your day and it's all about you!
What if we don't have a religious belief?
All persons are welcome here, beliefs or not. We all believe in something, so we can use love as the glue that brings us together!
Do you perform same gender ceremonies?
Yes! All persons have the right to be happy and celebrate their special day. My biggest belief is in "an harm ye none, do what ye will." Therefore, I don't see what harm there is in two people who love each other being joined.
Can we meet in person before making a decision?
Of course! I am available seven days a week to meet with all of my couples at your convenience. If however you have a hectic schedule and/or are out of town/state, I will be happy to "meet" with you via a telephone or e-mail conference. I try to make things as simple as possible without a lot of headaches and stress! Technology is a wonderful thing! We can exchange photo's and even communicate via Skype!
What are your policies regarding booking & fees?
To reserve your special day, I require a $75 retainer within 48 hours. The final balance can be paid thirty days+ prior to your special day but is due no later than fifteen days prior to the ceremony date. Please note that packages are subject to a $100 holiday fee for the following holidays: Valentine's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, New Year's Eve, New Year's. No exceptions. Travel is calculated by the total miles to be traveled and a $0.75 per mile travel fee for distances outside of Brevard & Indian River Counties. (example: 100 miles x $0.75= $75.00)

How soon do we need to book our celebration?
I recommend reserving your date as soon as you can simply because dates fill up quickly when it comes to the Celebrant. Many of us do advanced bookings (up to a year in advance) for couples who have just become engaged and wish to coordinate their special day with a Wedding Planner. Weekend dates, holidays, popular months (May-October) go fast so booking your Celebrant and location are vital as soon as you become engaged! I am available for short-notice elopements as long as you call me within 24 hrs of your special day so I have advanced notice.
Are we required to do Pre-Marital Counseling?
No. I do offer this course for couples who wish to explore areas of communication and blending step-families, but I do not require anyone to take it should they choose not to. I am a registered Pre-Marital Course provider here in Brevard County Florida and am currently working towards various other counties.
Is this wedding customizable by us?
Yes! This is your special day so you can have as much or as little as you want for your ceremony. I'll be happy to put together ideas, thoughts and resources for you to review that will be in styles you are interested in. Have a neat inclusion or would like a neat inclusion in your ceremony? No problem! Kids, dogs, family members? All welcome! I try to blend the best of your love story with your choices and create a one of kind ceremony that literally will speak to you, your family and friends. No lectures, no boring stuffy ceremonies here!
What do you wear on our special day?
I have three basic outfits- suit, robe & stole or summer casual. Unless you have a themed wedding, specific holiday wedding or a specific request, you can choose one of the above and I'll be happy to "blend in" with your wedding party. Please see my attire page for examples.
